Chalet Villa Valania

Chalet Villa Valania is located in an enchanting area, at the entrance to Val Cancano, 2000 meters above sea level, just 12 km from Bormio and only 20 km from Livigno.

There is a magical, fairy-tale atmosphere in the chalet; in summer, the colors of the crystal-clear waters, flowers and plants make everything brighter and livelier.

Chalet Villa Valania, opened in 1997, was built on the ruins of a former World War I military barracks, dedicated to the heroic Captain Valania after whom it is named.

In this naturalistic and beautiful place you can experience a regenerating vacation within the Stelvio National Park.

From here you can set off on excursions, trekking and simple walks that follow fascinating nature trails. Or you can engage in sport fishing, in the nearby artificial dams of Cancano and San Giacomo, located just a few meters from the chalet. The area is also fabulous when riding a bicycle or e-bike.

CUISINE:

A typical cuisine that, during your vacation, envelops and conquers you, taking you on a journey through flavors and fragrances. The Valania Restaurant is open to outside guests both lunch and *dinner, and on sunny days even more pleasant is to be able to have your meal outside.

The restaurant offers delicious specialties typical of Valtellina cuisine and at the same time also satisfies the palate of the discerning cyclist or hiker who reaches Val Cancano and needs simple, carbohydrate-rich cuisine.

( The restaurant is open by reservation only every Friday and Saturday and every day during the middle two weeks of August. Reservations must be made by 4 p.m. on the day you would like to dine at the Chalet).

HOW TO GET THERE:

From the Eden hotel continue toward Premadio and take the road that leads to the Fraele Towers.

The road is tolled and costs € 5.00 per vehicle.

Chalet Villa Valania is located 200 meters from the Towers and has convenient free parking.
