A musical and poetic Advent evening with Wolfgang Troy
Outside, it grows quiet. Inside, it’s getting warm.
The Advent season has its beautiful moments—and its somewhat chaotic ones, too. Wolfgang Troy takes both in stride with humor, while leaving room to pause and reflect. In his program “Oh Pannenbaum – Oh Tannenbaum,” he offers guidance on how to navigate the weeks leading up to Christmas: with gentle irony, exquisite music, and well-chosen words.
He reads and recounts both familiar and lesser-known texts about the Christmas season. Witty and sharp-tongued pieces by Daniel Glattauer, Flora Neuberger, and Loriot. Contemplative and evocative works by Erich Kästner, Theodor Storm, and Rainer Maria Rilke. These are complemented by dialect pieces by the local poet Kaspar Troy.
It promises to be an evening that will bring a smile to your face and linger in your memory—funny, ironic, and contemplative, in a somewhat different way.
