Am Waldweg 105a, Achenkirch
Enjoy a springtime hike from the hotel to the Stod Waterfall and on into the tranquil Oberau Valley, where you’ll find open forest trails and a magnificent panorama of the Karwendel Mountains.
The hike starts right at the hotel and first takes us past the impressive Stod Waterfall into the unspoiled Oberau Valley. On easy trails through the open forest, we reach the Schrambachalm (1,092 m) after about an hour. From there, a winding path leads up to the Kaserstattalm at 1,436 m. Since neither of these alpine huts is open to the public, the unspoiled silence of nature takes center stage here. As the view sweeps far across the peaks of the Karwendel, you can feel the renewed energy of the awakening spring forest particularly intensely.
Duration: 3–4 hours
Difficulty: Moderately easy
Elevation gain: only 100 hm to the Schrambachalm, another 400 hm to the Kaerstattalm.
