Side valleys & alpine roads Discover the side valleys of the rear Zillertal

The vacation resorts of Mayrhofen and Hippach are located in the rear Zillertal, against the fascinating backdrop of the mountains of the Zillertal Alps Nature Park. The landscape here fans out into four side valleys, also known as Gründe.

Thanks to its unique location, Mayrhofen is also an ideal starting point for numerous hikes and tours in the impressive mountain world. Pack your rucksack, lace up your boots and set off into the mountain world of the rear Zillertal. Rare plants and animals, clear mountain streams and a silence that seems almost unreal await you!

If you don't want to miss out on civilization, you can of course also enjoy the fascination of Tyrol during a break in a cosy atmosphere with culinary, traditional delicacies. There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments.
