The Donnersbach Gorge

The Donnersbachklamm is a natural monument and, without exaggeration, a truly magnificent, tranquil attraction. You’ll hike through forests and meadows, past sandbanks, all the way to the Holzknechthütte.

In the heart of the gorge, the large footbridge and the “story bench” invite you to listen and observe.

The trail continues up to the Klammsteigruhe rest area through a narrow rock tunnel and a dense stretch of forest, leading up to the forest road. This takes you back to the village of Donnersbach, with a view of the village along the way.
