E-Bike Tour: Sun Terrace

From Alpendorf, we ride to the Tauern Cycle Path and, off the main road, follow a gentle climb past farms and flowering meadows to St. Veit, the “sun terrace” of the Pongau region. We continue along a quiet road to Goldegg Weng and finally take a farm road to the Hochleiten Alm. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the magnificent scenery and wildlife. At the alpine pasture, regional specialties await to refuel you for the return trip.

Meeting point/start: Every Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Parking Lot 2 of the Alpendorf Gondola in front of the Snoworld bike rental shop

Guide: Manfred Oberndorfer, Certified Mountain Bike Guide

Duration: approx. 2.5 hours of pure riding time; approx. 3 hours including breaks

Difficulty/Fitness Level: average fitness level; 35 km total distance; 900 meters of elevation gain

Riding Skills: basic cycling skills required

Equipment & Clothing: E-bike, appropriate cycling clothing and protective gear (helmet, gloves, goggles), drinks, cell phone

Children/Teens: ages 14 and up when accompanied by an adult. Good physical condition and cycling skills required!
