Rosegg Zoo

Not far from Velden on Lake Wörthersee, the Rosegg Zoo has been an all-weather visitor magnet for all guests around Lake Wörthersee, Lake Faaker See and Lake Ossiach for over 35 years.

Every year, about 80,000 visitors come to this largest zoo in Carinthia, which is home to about 400 animals of more than 35 different species on an extremely historic site - with the Rosegg castle ruins and the zoo wall built by the money counterfeiter Ritter von Bohr in 1830. The well-being of young and old is catered for with a buffet. For the children the small animal zoo with the large children's playground is the absolute hit.
