1. The easiest route

Take the Gitschbergbahn to the mountain station

and from there, follow marked trail no. 20 to the Gitschhütte

Walking time: approx. 20–30 minutes

easy hike, ideal for families, leisurely hikers, and relaxed outings

2. With a summit experience

Take the mountain railway to the Gitschberg mountain station

Continue via the Gitschhütte to the Gitschberg summit (2,510 m)

Mountain station → Gitschhütte: approx. 20–30 minutes

Gitschhütte → Gitschberg: another 45–60 minutes

3. Directly from the Mountain Lodge Margit

for athletic hikers via Meransen village, Pichlerhütte, and the Almhüttenweg trail to the Gitschhütte
