Starting point and walking time:

From the hotel in Sölden, walk past the church along a narrow asphalt path steeply up to the Innerwald district.

Through the Innerwald you will reach the Ötztal Glacier Road. Follow this road to Stiegele (Gaislach/Gletscherstraße junction). From Stiegele, a forest road runs relatively flat at first and then ascends from the first bend. After several bends, you first reach the Alpengasthof Sonneck, from where you continue at a leisurely pace to the Gaislachalm. Once you arrive at the Gaislachalm, you can reach the Heidealm via the wide, ascending dirt road behind the alp.

For bikers:

The bike tour leads from Sölden via the glacier road to just before the toll station. On the left before the toll station, a paved path leads to the middle station (Gaislach) and from there along a wide forest path directly to the Heidealm.
