Direktionsvilla 1880
Start right on the doorstep and experience one of the most beautiful coastal hikes in Europe - along the German-Danish border.
The Gendarmenpfad is one of the most impressive hiking trails in Northern Europe and runs for 84 kilometers along the Flensburg Fjord. The first stage begins practically on the doorstep of the Direktionsvilla 1880 - in the nearby Kupfermühle border area.
The route takes you through a varied landscape of forests, coastal sections, steep slopes and small bays. Spectacular views of the fjord open up time and again, while at the same time you are on historical paths: border guards used to patrol along the German-Danish border here.
The combination of nature and history is particularly appealing. Along the way, you will pass the historic copper works, boundary stones and old trade routes. At around 15 km long, the first stage offers an ideal mix of exercise, nature experience and cultural impressions.
Whether as a short section or as the start of a multi-day hike - the Gendarmenpfad is a unique experience starting directly from the hotel.
