At the “Allgäu Magic of Lights” event in Bärenweiler, visitors can look forward to an extraordinary experience centered around the fascinating world of balloons. In collaboration with Ballonfahrten Seitz from Kißlegg—an experienced provider with over 35 years of expertise—this unique family event is packed with highlights.

Model Balloons – Technology Meets Fascination

It’s not just the young guests who will be thrilled by the five model balloons. These mini-balloons, faithfully recreated to scale, measure an impressive 60 to 90 cubic meters and are about 5 meters tall.

They are controlled by remote control, with miniature burners ignited via radio signal. Using propane, they generate hot air—just like their larger counterparts—and rise into the sky. Here, too, the wind determines the direction, turning every movement into a genuine ballooning experience on a smaller scale.

Candlelight – A Magical Play of Flames

As twilight sets in, one of the event’s most emotional highlights begins: the candlelight display. Several balloon baskets without envelopes light up their burners in time with the music. Flames up to 6 meters high bathe the surroundings in a warm, mesmerizing light.

The interplay of fire, music, and the evening atmosphere creates a unique ambiance—sometimes calm and soulful, sometimes powerful and exhilarating. A spectacular experience full of energy, emotion, and magic.

A balloon experience for young and old alike

The event offers a colorful family program:

- Bouncy castle and interactive games

- Walk-in balloon envelope

- Balloon basket to climb into and take photos

A special highlight is the evening glow of the model balloons as well as the launches of the hot-air balloons—an impressive spectacle in the sky above Bärenweiler.

Around Ascension Day, visitors also have the opportunity to become part of this special event themselves.

Passengers can book directly with Ballonfahrten Seitz and take off from the unique surroundings of Bärenweiler. The aerial view of this special location makes the ride an unforgettable experience.
