Guided hike over the Taltbühl

This varied hike combines quiet forest paths, special natural sites and sweeping views of the valley. An exciting circular tour away from the well-known peaks with plenty of scenic variety.

Tour description:

We start our hike at the Brunnenplatz in Tiers and first descend to the valley floor. On the opposite side of the valley, we head uphill again towards Wolfsgrube. We reach the Totmoos biotope, a special natural area, via varied paths. We then hike on to the Jocherhof farm, where we stop for a bite to eat. The descent is to Nova Levante/Welschnofen, from where we return to San Cipriano/St. Zyprian by cable car.

Walking time: approx. 6 hours

Ascent: approx. 950 m

Descent: approx. 800 m

Distance: 17 km

Difficulty: Technically moderate hike, good basic fitness required

Refreshment stop: Jocherhof

Useful information / What to bring

Alpine footwear and clothing suitable for hiking, rain jacket, sun cream and headgear, water bottle;

Eventual tickets for cable cars and lunch are not included.

The guest pass for the use of public buses is available free of charge for our guests at reception.

We recommend the 3 in 7 or 5 in 7 Mountain Pass. This allows you to conveniently use the various exit facilities in the area. The mountain pass is available at the tourist office and at the Tiers cable car.
