Alpine Cattle Drive from Achenkirch to Pertisau

Fall is also the season for the cattle drive down from the alpine pastures. Every year, when the cows return home from their summer pastures, it’s a joyful celebration.

Schedule:

Around 7:00 a.m.: Departure from the Falkenmoosalm in Achenkirch toward Maurach

Around 10:30 a.m.: Arrival at the Buchau Family Resort, Maurach

Starting around 11:00 a.m., the animals are herded together, followed by the march toward Pertisau

Music and festivities starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Hotel Rieser Achensee Resort in Pertisau

Approx. 2:00 p.m. Arrival at the Hotel Rieser Achensee Resort

Around 3:30 p.m., it’s time to head “home” to the Oberhaushof. Fall is also the time for the cattle drive down from the alpine pastures. When the cows return home from their summer pastures on the alpine meadows, it’s a joyful celebration every year.

Program:

Starting at 12:00 p.m., the animals will be herded across the alpine meadows to Pertisau, where they’ll be welcomed with music and a festive atmosphere in front of Hotel Das Karwendel in Pertisau
