A special nature experience for early risers and for all those who want to experience the Dolomites from their quieter and more evocative side.
We start at passo costalunga (1,755 meters) in the dark and ascend to Rosengarten by the light of our headlamps. Step by step, the night gives way to the first light of day until we reach the viewpoint at about 2,050 meters. There an unforgettable moment awaits us: the sunrise over the Marmolada group, the queen of the Dolomites.
After this special experience, we continue our hike and reach a cozy refuge at 2,280 m, where a hearty breakfast awaits us. Well fortified, the trail takes us back to our starting point via the imposing Christomannos monument.
A moderately difficult hike with an adventurous character; a good level of basic fitness is required.
Note: Suitable for youth and adults; the hike is less suitable for younger children.
