Equipment

Helmet, climbing harness and via ferrata set are required, gloves and climbing shoes are recommended.

Parking lot:

Parking lot in the center of Hüttschlag

Directions:

Hike: From the parking lot next to the Schappach Chapel, take the road back to the main road and along it to the right until you reach the Huber carpentry shop. Immediately afterwards turn left over the bridge (Asthüttbrücke, yellow sign Hundegg and Klettersteig). Pass the old farmhouse, where the hiking trail to Hundegg branches off to the right. On the newly routed path, specially laid out for the via ferrata (the red/white marked hiking trail leads uphill to the left shortly afterwards and is disregarded) in several hairpin bends to the foot of the wall (rope-up point a little further to the right by a bench).

DESCENT:

First a short ascent along the marked hiking trail into the forest and follow the marked trail to a beautiful alpine meadow. Via the marked hiking trail (No. 55) you get back to the starting point in about 45 min.
