The Power of Nature in the Hohe Tauern National Park

Over thousands of years, the Mallnitzbach stream has carved its way deep into the rock, creating a wild landscape of waterfalls, rapids, moss-covered rocks, and spectacular climbing routes. Wooden walkways, bridges, and secured paths lead right through the heart of this roaring natural spectacle—always accompanied by the roar of the water.

The gorge is particularly diverse: Views of towering waterfalls with drops of up to 30 meters open up time and again, including the famous Zechnerfall and the Große Groppensteinfall. Thanks to the well-maintained trails, the hike is impressive yet manageable and offers a genuine nature experience for families as well.
