SWE-1 Husky dog sledding adventure with Ann and Jens' huskies

Dog sledding adventures are not only available in Alaska and Lapland, here in central Sweden you can also follow the call of the wild and drive through the snowy forests with sled dogs.

We take you from our Timber Lodge with our bus to the experienced mushers Jens and Ann and the huskies. The journey takes about 90 minutes. You will be met there and accompanied to the huskies, which you will get to know directly. When we and the dogs are ready to start our adventure, we release the brakes and plunge into the wilderness of the Swedish winter.

On most tours, two adults share a sled with 5-6 dogs. One leads the team and the other sits in the sled. Later there is a change. Children ride in a sled with their parents. At this point it should be mentioned that

For safety reasons, children and young people under the age of 18 are not allowed to lead the team. They are not yet heavy and strong enough to brake the sledge and bring it to a halt. Exceptions can be made. This is decided by the guide. His instructions must be followed. On our tours, the guide always rides at the front and leads the group.

After the ride, you have the opportunity to stroke and cuddle the dogs, as they are much calmer now. The ride on the dog sled, the encounter with the huskies that pulled the sled and the breathtaking view of the beautiful Swedish forests of Hälsingland will remain in your memory.
