Ridge hike from the Zillertaler Höhenstraße to the Tux Alps

From the bus stop Melchboden we quickly left the hustle and bustle of the Höhenstraße behind us and first reach the Arbiskopf (2,133 m). An almost Scandinavian landscape spreads out around us, which we can marvel at from our second peak, the Rauenkopf (2,268 m). In addition to us, grazing cattle also use the high alpine region in summer, which is crisscrossed by many small depressions and wetlands and in which many alpine flowers shine. Our easy ridge hike finally ends when we turn left just before the ascent to Kreuzjoch and soon reach the Rastkogelhütte (2,117 m). After a refreshment, we hike via the Sidanalm down to the Sportalm. There we board the bus that takes us comfortably back to the valley floor.
