Since 2024, the young violinist Mariam Abouzahra has been enchanting audiences in Chorin with her expressiveness and virtuosity. Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 continues to enjoy enduring popularity to this day: with audiences for its melodic inventiveness and expressiveness, and with violinists because it allows them to showcase the full range of their skills. Dvořák’s Symphony “From the New World,” another much-loved highlight will be performed. Inspired by his trip to America, he draws from a rich treasure trove of melodies and clothes them in energetic rhythms and rich orchestral colors. And opening the Chorin Music Summer at this very special venue with the overture to the Romantic opera “Der Freischütz” could not be more fitting.
