Villach Church Festival

From July 26 to August 2 2026, Villach is all about traditional costumes, tradition, and genuine Carinthian joie de vivre: The Villach Kirchtag is Austria’s largest traditional festival—and you can feel the spirit right here at our campground!

During the Kirchtag, Villach’s city center offers traditional music, culinary specialties, colorful traditional costumes, a large amusement park, and plenty of festive atmosphere.

The most important information at a glance:

The festival begins on Sunday, July 26 with a festive church service at 10:00 a.m. in the city parish church

Followed at 11:30 a.m.: Traditional beer tapping at Rathausplatz

Starting Tuesday, the rides, market stalls, and Kirchtag tents
