The cross of the Reit

Eden Hotel - Combo - Santelon - Cà Bianca - Croce della reit - Bormio Total length of the excursion: 5,9 Km Total difference in altitude: 905 meters Estimated time of the excursion: 3 hours Difficulty level: difficult (7 out of 10) Picnic areas along the route: no ROUTE: From the Eden Hotel continue in the direction of Piazza di Combo after which you cross the Ponte di Combo, climb along the Ripa Guardia Nazionale, via Castello and take the sent. S532 until you reach the sent. S533 of the Pedemontana della Reit. Turn left for 200 m and you will see the path that reaches the Croce della Reit. The walk, although very steep in some sections, takes place on a well-marked path, characterized by numerous numbered hairpin bends, inside a forest of fir and larch trees, Scots pine and mountain pines at high altitude. The panorama you can enjoy from the cross embraces the whole valley and extends from Valfurva to Valdidentro, passing through Valdisotto. Immediately above, after the vegetation, the majestic Dolomite wall of Mount Reit rises up, on which it is easy to see groups of ungulates. The descent can be made along the same route as the outward journey or in the direction of Uzza and Pramezzano. Download the PDF of the route from here
