With the hotel bus we drive to Schluderns. Past the photogenic Churburg Castle we climb up to the Bergwaal. Here we encounter wild, rocky terrain with dry stone walls, natural tunnels and sections of path cut into rock.
Via the Leitenwaal with its rushing gorge we reach Ganglegg. Here archaeologists uncovered the remains of a historical settlement. The finds from the Copper, Bronze and Iron Ages are in the Vintschger Museum, in Schluderns, which is really worth a visit in case of bad weather.
