Durlaßboden reservoir

Start at the Isskogel valley station and follow the leisurely path along the Gerlosbach stream - always following the rippling sound - until you reach the toboggan run. There, a flat, easily accessible footpath branches off to the right. Follow it and after around 45 minutes, the mighty dam of the Durlaßboden reservoir will appear in front of you.

After crossing the main road, you have two options:

You can either climb the steps up to the top of the dam - a little adventure moment! - or you can relax and take the narrow access road to the top. Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded: a fantastic view over Lake Durlaßboden and the cozy Seestuberl (closed on Mondays and Fridays), which is a wonderful place to stop for a bite to eat.

Recommendation: good winter shoes - it can be slippery
