Discover the largest ice cave in the world!

The Eisriesenwelt Werfen is the largest ice cave in the world: the entire cave system stretches over a length of more than 42 km. The first part, around one kilometer long, is covered with impressive ice formations and is accessible to visitors. As the cave is a listed building, particular emphasis was placed on preserving its natural state.

You enter the mysterious world of ice through the enormous cave portal, which is 20 m wide and 18 m high. In addition to its huge dimensions, the cave impresses with ice palaces of crystal-clear beauty. Monumental formations glitter effectively in the light of the miner's lamps that are handed out to visitors. Winding corridors with names such as "Diamond Kingdom" take you further and further into the mountain.
