The hike along the Gaisalm and Mariensteig trails to Pertisau leads through the wild and romantic landscape of the Tyrolean Alps and offers a breathtaking panorama right on the shores of Lake Achensee. The narrow trail winds steadily up and down along the rock faces and follows the shoreline—sure-footedness is required.

Halfway along the route lies the idyllically situated Gaisalm, nestled between the mountains. Once you arrive in Pertisau, you can take the hotel bus back (or optionally return to Achenkirch via the Achensee boat service).
