Every year in August, the ceramics town of Gmunden becomes a colorful stage for contemporary international pottery art. Around 130 ceramists from various countries present and offer their works for sale. Visitors have the unique opportunity to get a comprehensive overview of the European ceramics scene. Accompanying the market, Gmunden's galleries and exhibition spaces show works by up-and-coming as well as established and renowned ceramic artists. Since its premiere in the 1980s, the pottery market has continuously developed and expanded. It is now one of the top ten ceramics events in Europe.
