Via Milano, 50, Bormio
Year after year, this climb has entered every cyclist's wish list!
The Mortirolo is a grueling climb that tests muscles and lungs so much that, in the last thirty years, it has been the scene of challenges and cycling duels to the death.
One name suffices, Marco Pantani, whose exploits contributed to making it legendary. It is in his honor that the road has been consecrated as the "Pirate's Climb," and at the summit, a sculpture commemorates his untimely death.
