🌳 Discover the Lendorf alluvial forest and treat yourself to an unforgettable picnic! 🌿
The Lendorf alluvial forest, shaped by nature, is a true mosaic of different types of vegetation. On a generous area of around 67 hectares, you will find gray alder forests that are rarely found in Europe. Numerous groundwater springs, pools, ponds and streams bubble up here.
In the midst of these wetlands, silver willows, ash trees, poplars and weeping cherries thrive alongside the majestic gray alders. The tall hops, giant balsam and man-high ostrich ferns give the alluvial forest a very special atmosphere.
And don't forget the abundance of water: the mysterious frogspoon, the delicate brooklime and the elegant water crowfoot - they all bloom and thrive here.
The wildlife also feels right at home: over 130 bird species, including the colorful kingfisher, the majestic honey buzzard, the industrious lesser spotted woodpecker, the melodious oriole and the inquisitive long-tailed tit, populate the alluvial forest. And who knows, you might also come across deer, stags, foxes, muskrats or the adorable otter.
🔍 Tip: Take your time to experience nature - listen to the sound of water, the twittering of birds and the buzzing of insects.
