The "Zeppelin" myth, a vision of Count Zeppelin - was revived in 1993 by ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik GmbH (ZLT) - with a new generation of Zeppelins, the Zeppelin NT (New Technology).
On September 18, 1997, the first Zeppelin NT took to the skies above Friedrichshafen for its maiden flight. Since then, the traditional home of zeppelins has once again been home to airships. Commercial flight operations of the Zeppelin NT were launched four years later by Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei GmbH (DZR).
