Location In the drumming workshop we will groove, laugh, dance, clap, talk and sing together. Rhythm is life, rhythm is connection. No previous knowledge is necessary. What is important is the common pulse, the common groove. We will develop this in a playful way, with drumming games, simple exercises, some body percussion and syllable language and, of course, basic techniques on the hand drums and immersion in the common rhythm.
Various drums such as djembés, congas, kpanlogos and also vegic drums will be used, as well as accompanying percussion (e.g. shakers, bells, temple blocks...).
The aim of the workshop will be to rehearse an African rhythm consisting of several drum and percussion parts and to perform it at the end.
