The "Alpendorf Panorama Trail" includes a section on which the entire tree population of Austria can be found, including over 30 varieties of coniferous and deciduous trees. The trail stretches from the Naturhotel Gut Berg (formerly Hotel Alpenhof) to the Weitenmoos youth hostel and features an educational tree trail. This trail presents the different tree species with the help of descriptive boards, which give the hiker information about the occurrence, the use of the wood, the fruits of the trees and much more. There is also general information about the tree population in Austria.

The educational tree trail is equipped with a wood identification station, a

"treetop mirror" and a "tree hugging station". There is also a rest area with wooden sunshades and loungers. It is particularly noteworthy that all of Austria's trees have grown naturally on this short section of the Alpendorf Panorama Trail.

The aim of the trail is to sensitize hikers to the topic of renewable raw materials and food sources. The various stations and wood identification boards allow visitors to experience the forest habitat. In addition, attention is drawn to the "forest" recreational area with its oases of peace and relaxation seating. In addition to hiking, the trail is also intended for relaxation and recreation.
