Ingredients
100 g bacon
100 g pearl barley
One liter and three quarters of water
200 g of smoked meat
One small onion, one carrot, half a small leek
One potato
A small stick of celery
Salt
Preparation
Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry them in a large pot. Add the washed barley and fill it up with water. Add the smoked meat and cook everything slowly for two hours; about 20 minutes before the end of the cooking time, add the very finely chopped vegetables and continue cooking. Take out the meat, cut it into small pieces and put it back into the soup. Season with salt
