Helpful facts

The world of bees and honey, followed by a tasting.

How is honey produced, how is a bee colony organized and why are these busy, seemingly never-tiring insects so important for us? Answers to these and other questions can be found during this guided excursion into the world of bees and beekeepers.

The experts Alex Butti, Christian Kessler, Bert Innerhofer and Walter Moser from the beekeepers association Partschins vividly convey the life of the industrious little pollinators, show the working method and the amazing social behavior of the bees at the opened beehive and explain how the honey gets from the flower into the jar with the South Tyrolean brand label. Equipped with the right protective clothing, the inner workings of the beehive can be marveled at and touched up close. And also the role of the beekeeper, what exactly are his activities and how he must strictly adapt them to the course of the bee year, is explained in detail during this guided tour.

Afterwards you can convince yourself of the excellent quality of South Tyrolean honey by tasting different types of honey.
