Dairy Lehern

Let the secrets of the holes in the cheese be explained to you on a tour of the Information Center for Allgäu Dairy Farming and Cheese Crafts.

Here you will learn everything about the production of Allgäu mountain cheese and Allgäu Emmentaler from the local cheese master.

During the subsequent tour of the show farm, you will get interesting insights into traditional, artisanal cheese production and a look into the "Glass Cheese Maturing Cellar".

Guided tours:

01 November to 30 April TU + DO 13.30

01 May to 31 October MO - FR 13.30 h + additionally MO, MI, FR and SA at 11.00 h

Registration is not mandatory.

To get to the alpine dairy, take the B17 through Füssen in the direction of A7 / Hopfen am See. Before the A7, take the turnoff to Hopferau on the right side and follow the main road. The alpine dairy is located in the small hamlet of Lehern directly on the main road on the left side (Lehern 158, 87659 Hopferau).
