Path around the Staufen

Beautiful round around the striking cone and local mountain Staufen. Except for two short, crisp climbs quite easy. If you want, you can extend the tour to the summit.

From the train station via Immenstädter Straße to the end of town. There, continue on the hiking trail to the Wengener Stadel with horse stables. Turn right and follow the signposted path "Um den Staufen". After crossing the first forest section with a short ascent, you reach the back of the Staufen with an unobstructed view of the Hündle and the Konstanz valley. After a further ascent, the hiking trail continues in a curved manner to the thermal power station.

After crossing the railroad to Rainwald, keep to the right and return to the starting point via Lenzhalde. Alternatively, the last meters on the road past the railroad tunnel and there - who wants more - follow the signs to the Staufen (1,032 m).
