Eggenberg Castle

In the middle of a dreamlike park you will find Schloss Eggenberg. Located on the edge of the city centre, it represents a precisely calculated cosmos and combines allusions to time, the seasons, weeks, days, hours and minutes within its walls. The palace concept is also continued in the landscape garden around the palace - the majestic peacocks are particularly impressive here.

In 2010, the castle was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is still considered the most important baroque castle complex in Styria.
