Memories of your own childhood. Outside the winter air, inside the scent of candles. Baked apples stewing in the oven. Sounds of joyful expectation. Quadro Nuevo plays Christmas songs. Unfamiliar and yet familiar. Well-known and rarely heard pieces are charmingly interpreted by the four virtuosos. Unique, filigree, soulful.

The acoustic-instrumental quartet plays a very personal selection of atmospheric melodies for the pre-Christmas season. With songs such as "Es ist ein' Ros' entsprungen", "Maria durch ein' Dornwald ging" and "Die dunkle Nacht ist nun dahin", Quadro Nuevo looks back over the centuries and translates man's search for comfort and love into music.

About the band

Quadro Nuevo has been touring the world since 1996 and has played over 3,000 concerts. During this time, the ensemble has developed its very own language of sound poetry. It is influenced by the European form of playing the tango, the passionate love for the instrument and is accompanied by great joy in playing. All of Quadro Nuevo's albums have won the German Jazz Award and climbed into the top ten of the jazz and world music charts. In addition, the quartet has twice received the ECHO and a gold record.
