Alexanderplatz

Alexanderplatz is a square on the northeastern edge of the historic center of Berlin. The rectangular square in the district Mitte goes back to the square in front of the Königs Thor and received its current name in 1805 after the Russian tsar Alexander I.. In Berlin vernacular it is usually just called "Alex".
