Pilates is a full-body workout that primarily strengthens the deep muscle layers of the spine, torso, abdominal wall and pelvic floor and therefore your entire body center, the so-called powerhouse. Pilates is particularly suitable as a supportive therapy for chronic pain in the spine, as a supplement to endurance sports, to strengthen the core and back muscles, after pregnancy to strengthen the pelvic floor and to tone the abdomen and tighten the silhouette.
