Parking lot:

Travel by car or hiking cab along the Schiedweg in the Schied district past the Gasthof Alpenklang to the Holzlehenbauer and on to the Himmelskonten parking lot at the Holzlehen transmitter.

Route description:

Hike from the Himmelsknoten parking lot on the forest road (trail no. 31) to the Niggeltalalm (Igltalalm), 1,507 m, ascent also possible on trail no. 31a through the forest. From the alpine hut a trail leads further into the Igltal - at the end of the valley basin you reach after a slight right turn and pass by the Tennköpfel and from the saddle you reach after a short ascent the marked trail that leads from St. Veit to the Heukareck, 2,100 m - you follow it to the summit (from the Igltalalm about 2 h). Return on the same path.

Descent to St. Veit/Pg. and return by post bus to the Grossarl Valley possible.

Tip: On the way back you can make a small detour to the Viehhausalm, 1,640 m or the Mooslehenalm, 1,449 m.
