Cross country skiing

Helpful facts

Cross-country skiers don't always have it easy: If you want to be absolutely sure that there is enough snow and that the trails are free of charge and excellently prepared, the Pitztal is the right address. Already the TALLOIPE, which leads over 21.7 km from the small village of Wiese up to Mandarfen at an altitude of 1,743 meters, offers optimal conditions due to its altitude. Also in rather warm winters. Whether you are skiing classically or in skating style - the panorama along the track, which mainly leads along the bizarrely frozen mountain river Pitze, is simply overwhelming.

Since the valley trail also serves as a winter hiking trail, we ask you to be considerate of other cross-country ski trail and winter hiking trail users and to make an objective self-assessment.

You can find information about the cross-country ski trails at the reception. There you will also find a small information brochure about the existing trails.

Another highlight in the Pitztal cross-country skiing map is the night loop in Stillebach. The exact 1 km loop is illuminated daily from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
