Natural history hike from Jochgrimm to Maria Weißenstein

This hike focuses on plants, flowers, animals and geology. The hiking guide would like to point out the little treasures along the way to raise awareness of the beauty and value of nature, because you only recognize, appreciate and protect what you know.

Nature is an interconnected system and an interplay of many different factors. Nature is beautiful, fascinating but also complex and sensitive, which is why the motto of this hike is "Experience, understand and preserve nature".

We will take the bus from Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen (Gibitz Platz) to the Jochgrimm. This pass is picturesquely situated between the Weißhorn and Schwarzhorn. From there, our panoramic hike begins and leads us towards Neuhütt and Petersberger Leger to Maria Weißenstein, accompanied by breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains such as Latemar and Rosengarten. From Maria Weißenstein we take the bus back to Deutschnofen. If you fancy more exercise, you can alternatively hike to Deutschnofen on foot.
