* Winter hike to the Marxegger Alm followed by a toboggan run

Directly on the main Alpine ridge beneath the Zillertal Alps, the village of Rio Bianco is located in a side valley of the Valle Aurina and therefore belongs to the very snow-secure spots. The path proceeds uphill in serpentines until we reach a flat pasture then a short descent follows before we start the last ascent up to the Marxegger mountain hut in the Wurmtal valley. The mountain hut offers local dishes and we enjoy our break with a gorgeous view on the snowy alpine world. The way back will be an adventure with the toboggan. Surcharge for toboggan rent: € 4,00 per person to pay on-site. Start with the hotel shuttle (limited numbers of participants, possibility to follow with own car). Total walking time ca. 3 hours, altitude difference ca. 475 m. For your own safety, wearing a helmet is mandatory. You can easily reserve your helmet at the reception (surcharge).
