Summit hike Lawinenstein 1.965m

We’re heading to the highest lake plateau in Central Europe.

In our 8-passenger bus, we’ll drive up a well-maintained, paved winding road to the Tauplitzalm (1,650 m).

We begin our hike with a steep ascent, which, however, levels out into a pleasant, flat, and wide trail as we continue toward the summit.

Once we reach the summit, an incredibly impressive 360-degree panoramic view awaits us.The descent leads partly along a forest road and through mountain pine groves, all the way down to the “Hollhaus” mountain restaurant, where we can stop for a break at the end of our tour. From there, the spectacular Dachstein Glacier lies directly before us, shimmering beautifully.
