Our recommendation: Algund Waalweg

The Algunder Waalweg has many beautiful viewpoints and provides a wonderful view over the entire Etschtal. This Waalweg is varied, has nice places to stop and can be wonderfully connected from Gratsch with the Tappeiner Weg to Merano.

Let your gaze wander and discover Plars Castle, the Forst and finally also Tyrol Castle, the Ifinger and the Hirzer, often still covered in snow or at least "sugared".

You can also hike further up to Dorf Tirol. But if you want, you can also take the shorter way down to the pretty village of Algund. Here there are nice cafes and stores, and from Algund you can finally take the bus back to Merano.
