St. Nicholas Boat Ride

On Saturday, December 5, and Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. each day, a varied program awaits you. It’s time to “cast off” for our “St. Nicholas Boat Ride” with St. Nicholas and his enchanting angels.

The St. Nicholas Boat Tour offers a unique opportunity to experience the anticipation of Christmas and the Christ Child in a magical setting during the 60-minute cruise.

St. Nicholas welcomes the children with open arms and brings smiles to their faces, while our lovely angels accompany the children on the festive cruise. Together, they sing cheerful Christmas carols and recite contemplative poems.

Every child also has the wonderful opportunity to write a personal postcard to the Christ Child, which can then be left at home for the Christ Child to pick up. And those who’ve been very good can look forward to a sweet St. Nicholas goodie bag!

We’ve got the grown-ups covered, too: Enjoy the ride with a warm cup of punch and delicious cookies. Whether it’s Mom, Dad, Grandma, or Grandpa—everyone will find a moment of peace and reflection in this magical atmosphere.

Be sure to reserve your seats in advance and join us when St. Nicholas and his angels make the children’s eyes light up aboard the MS Schmittenhöhe.

How to get there:

- Take bus line 660 to the “Zell am See Bahnhof” stop, or

- Walk along a beautiful path by the lake (about 20 minutes)
