Start right on the doorstep and discover the Flensburg Fjord on one of the most beautiful coastal hiking trails in Germany.
The Fördesteig is a coastal hiking trail around 95-100 km long, which leads from the German-Danish border near Harrislee to Kappeln - and thus starts right in front of the Direktionsvilla 1880.
The first stages alone take you along the fjord through varied landscapes of beaches, cliffs, forests and nature reserves. Impressive views of the water open up again and again - accompanied by fresh Baltic Sea air and a special tranquillity.
The trail is well signposted and is suitable for both single day stages and hikes lasting several days. Particularly practical: you can start directly from the hotel, plan individual sections flexibly and return comfortably by bus or boat.
The Fördesteig is the German addition to the well-known Gendarmenpfad and even makes it possible to walk around the entire fjord once - a real highlight for hiking enthusiasts.
