Guided Hike – Historic Schneeberg Mine, 2,355 m

From the parking lot below the Gostalm toward the Timmelsjoch, we set out on a varied loop hike up to the historic miners’ village of St. Martin on the Schneeberg at 2,355 m.

Through the impressive high-mountain landscape of the Hinterpasseier, the trail leads us past traces of former mining activity all the way to the Schneeberg. Once at the top, over 800 years of mining history and the unique atmosphere of the old miners’ village await us. After a leisurely stop at the Schneeberg mountain hut, we’ll hike back to our starting point via a different route.
