simply.be – Simply BE in the moment & let life be SIMPLE. (My motto)
Hatha yoga and mindfulness can help us in our daily lives to shift our awareness from the outside to the inside. In this way, we can learn to perceive our individual signals on the physical, mental, and emotional levels, to trust and value them, and to act consciously. This is the foundation for staying healthy and feeling good on life’s journey.
Yoga for Mental Deceleration with TANJA GRATZER
Yoga is the stilling of all mental activities. (Patanjali, Yoga Sutra)
Hatha yoga is a mindful practice that begins with the body, with the goal of giving our bodies strength, stability, flexibility, and lightness in order to calm the activities of the mind (e.g., stress-induced ruminating).
Yoga has nothing to do with performance. Yoga is only about you. (Claudia Scheiderer)
Many people reduce yoga to physical exercises and believe that you can only practice yoga if you are flexible, slim, young, healthy, strong, and agile. I know from my own experience that these very thoughts almost kept me from becoming a yoga teacher.
My tip for you: Don’t believe everything you think—just give it a try and let yourself be surprised by the effects of yoga on the mat and in everyday life.
Yoga isn’t about touching your toes. It’s about what you learn on the way down (Dr. Jigar Gor)
What can you learn on the “way down”:
· Self-discovery – Yoga techniques, such as meditation, breathing exercises, and physical postures, help you get to know yourself anew
· Simply being – Being in the here and now and allowing yourself to be moved by who you are
· Being in balance – Without judgment, in harmony with body, mind, and soul
· Giving yourself space – Feeling yourself (again), breathing a sigh of relief, and experiencing lightness
· Be Aware of Yourself – Recognize your own needs, set boundaries, and tap into your own strength
· Find Peace – Turn your attention inward, let go, and be clear
· Changing Your Perspective – Be open, trust yourself, discover something new, and grow
