Paracelsus already said: "Where there is a disease, there is a herb to cure it." I was born in Thuringia, but have lived on the coast for over 25 years - first in Stralsund, then on the island of Rügen. I have felt closely connected to nature for many years, but never had the courage to simply do something else. I felt good when I saw the plants growing and thriving in my large herb and vegetable garden, but I felt a longing to get even more involved with all these things. I decided to train at a herbal school to become an herbalist / phytotherapist. This was to be a turning point in my life. My focus is on everyday plants, our companions that grow on our doorstep and are often referred to and fought against as weeds. I have been living with my family on an old farm in a rural area on the island of Rügen for several years. Together with our dog, cat and sheep, we have made our life here our own and enjoy the rural tranquillity and the richness and diversity of nature. I always try to remember that the best protection against illness is a zest for life ... a good mood, friendship with positive people and a certain serenity towards some things...
